At Christmas time, naturally our hearts and minds turn toward Christ. We become more
serious in our feelings towards the Savior and more often in our discussion of the scriptures refer
to Him. One scripture of importance is the great prophetic declaration by Isaiah speaking of the
future birth of Jesus Christ in Isaiah 9:6:
“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his
shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, the everlasting
Father, The Prince of Peace.”
