Note From The Editor
Among Dr. Andrus’ early writing interests was a series of books titled Vol. I, God, Man And The Universe, Vol. II Principles Of Perfection and Vol. III, Doctrines Of The Kingdom each carried the sub-titled, from the series Foundations of The Millennial Kingdom of Christ. In the first three books of the series, he referred to a yet to be published fourth volume in the series dealing with the last days. His time became absorbed with teaching, church callings, a growing family as well as interest in other areas of research and writing and the fourth volume was never published. He did not completely abandon the project and continued to work on it from time to time for several years. Before his passing, I was given access to his writings from over the years including hand written documents as well as those stored on old 5 ¼ and 3 ½ inch floppy disks, the hard drive on his computer and stacks of short articles on a wide range of religious topics and even some that were printed on “spirit duplicator” mimeograph machines that left blue text.
These documents included drafts of several books he had worked on over the years and many unpublished short articles. Among these writings were several drafts of books including one titled Prophecy And Judgment, another titled Visions of The Kingdom and a third, This is My Work to My Glory. The editor has concluded these drafts were intended to be volumes IV, V and VI from the series Foundations of The Millennial Kingdom of Christ.
The subject of this volume appears to be a re-working of God, Man and The Universe. This volume has some chapters similar to those in God, Man and The Universe, particularly those dealing with the creation and atonement of Jesus Christ, however, in many cases, additional information and insights are given. The editor has sorted through the various drafts of this work, organized and formatted them for this volume. Some editing of text was required but the doctrinal content of the text has not been altered, only the correction of typographical errors and some editing for clarification purposes. There is some redundancy in the use of scriptures between some chapters. Generally, this was done to establish the concept being discussed in the chapter. Thus, no effort was made by the editor to eliminate or reduce any apparent redundancy.
There is no way to know all of the people who, over the years, have contributed to this work. I refer the reader to the Prefaces to the first three volumes of this series which surely contains a list of people who made important contributions along the way. Dr. Andrus and myself are alone responsible for the views expressed in this volume and for the conclusions that have been drawn from the sources quoted.
